I submit with a slight tounge-in-cheek. Invite you all to read my father-in-law's book "The Book of Risks" (Larry Laudan) - puts things in perspective. Also, my friend Drew Curtis' (fark.com) has a new book out "It's not news, it's FARK" which talks about how news sources such as Reuters passes off this stuff.
