The future of Geauga Lake's Big Dipper coaster is still in doubt after it was sold at auction.

Investigators with Cobb County police said a boy was decapitated at Six Flags amusement park Saturday after jumping a fence and entering an area that was marked off limits.

Evel Knievel, the newest coaster at Six Flags St. Louis, opened today. The Great Coasters International wooden coaster cost $7 million and features 16 hills and 14 crossovers. The trains are red, white and blue, the same color scheme Knievel wore.

Geauga Lake's classic Big Dipper coaster was sold at auction for $5,000 to an unknown buyer. Akron, Ohio-based Apex Western Machinery Movers won the bidding. Apex's Tom Woosnam bid for the coaster for a buyer he did not name.

Parts that made up Geauga Lake will be auctioned off Tuesday and Wednesday. Double Loop, Raging Wolf Bobs and other rides will be up for bid.
