  1. The first thing Microsoft need is a product that isn't a load of shit. Sort that out and the rest will follow.

    The author of the article, Matt Rosoff suggests a whole raft of whizz-bang doodads and add-ons, none of which will make an ounce of difference.

    The reason the iPod is successful is its simplicity, not its complexity; people don't need built-in microphone and AM / FM tuners!

    Fundamentally, that's why Microsoft just can't compete with Apple. They just don't get simplicity...
