   I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'd rather have conversation with people than look at my vote count for my submissions go through the roof. Blind voting doesn't help anyone of anything.

   But the debate continues...what is blind voting? Can you trust content from those that have always submitted quality before? Can everyone honestly say that they read every single article from start to finish before they vote? Do they watch every second of every you tube video before they vote? Where is the line? That is the debate that has to happen before we start making a list. Now just voting without looking at at least the url, submitter, headline, preview details, keywords, and the full article most of the time, yeah those people need to be banned.

    As a newer guy to Mixx, I like your style. There are somethings that I am just not interested in. It doesn't make sense for me to vote it up just because someone sent it too me. I may even look at the page but still not feel compelled. I'd rather save the vote for something else than just have votes and friends tallied to my profile.

    Definitely a worthy cause, it is one of the most irrtaing things about 'social media websites' ( :P )
    But surely Mixx can also implement some sort of intelligence in the page to determine if a user has even clicked the story link?..... maybe a pop quiz about the story before the vote is registered!

    No dude, you're only turning Mixx into a Digg and bringing spammers and self-publicists to Mixx by accepting a culture of blind voting. People are just wanting to make sure the content stays of a premium.

    But if you want to blind vote then of course that is your call. I don't see what purpose it serves though. Maybe you don't have time to read the article as you astutely point out......but then why sodding bother to vote it up in the first place?
