  1. "Even the decision to form an alliance with Iran and Syria does not belong to Hamas," he said. "The decision came from the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Iranians and Syrians are continuing to incite Hamas."

Ahmed said that Abbas had decided to call off a meeting with Mashaal in Damascus after learning that the Hamas leader had sent a letter to some Arab leaders in which he accused the PA president of succumbing to US pressure to boycott Hamas.

The Fatah official said that as far as he was concerned, Abbas should not meet with any Hamas representative. "Meeting with Hamas is tantamount to treason," Ahmed was quoted by the daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi as saying. "Meeting with Hamas under the current circumstances means consolidating the division [between the West Bank and Gaza Strip]. Mashaal carried out an armed rebellion and we should not meet with him."

  2. Meh, its not a problem. Iran is entering talks with the EU and part of that negotiation includes Iran's offer to help broker a longterm and real peace between Israel and Palestine. Israel for their part is entering talks with Syria. Lebanon has formed a government with Hezbullah in the north putting a question mark over its militant wing and Hamas has a ceasefire with Israel and Israel is in talks with Fatah in the West Bank.

It has the potential to come together beautifully if one is willing to wrench one's head out of the sand and to realise that people on all sides are getting really fed up with their own hawks and militant agenda. And the oppression of one hawk outfit over another people empowers their own hawk movement. The engine works either way. Empower moderatism and reform and you empower other moderates and reform movements. Empower hawkish authoritarianism and you get a reciprocated back lash......

So your choice. You empower your own moderates/reformists or you empower your own hawkish authoritarians. You get what you create.

Don't be so pessimistic young man.....peace can be successful yet if you give it a chance.
But remember you get what you create - history's greatest lesson.

If the Arab Palestinians are at war, then peace w Israel is impossible. As well, all of the Muslim and Arab world--sans Egypt and Jordan--don't recognize Israel's right to exist.

Peace is in the hands of the Muslims. It is a bilateral process. So far they have failed to live up to their commitments of being "fair minded" and "wanting peace."

You are hardly the voice of moderation and from your earlier comment, most of the world supports Zionism--which is merely the right of the Jewish people to live in Israel., their homeland.

Muslims have over 60 nations--are they that greedy to deny the Jews their homeland in one nation?

Don't bother answering--the question is rhetorical.

    Clearly they do.

    More muslim bashing? Shocker.

Israel can make its peace with Fatah and Hamas. Nothing stopping that, and their moderatism would empower Palestinian moderates in turn. Just as Palestinian moderates empower Israeli moderatism. Case example, CombatantsforPeace.org and Women-in-Black

And what earlier comment would that be.....that I denounce war?

As I have said on numerous occasions I recognise the state of Israel....I simply said Zionism does not equal Israel. And it does not zionism is now a political expression, Israel is a country. Saying zionism, or neo-zionism, is Israel is like saying neo-conservatism is America.

Now haven't I just provided several links of Muslim countries willing to negotiate and recognise Israel. Iran mentions it in its negotiation. Hamas has offered several ceasefires and are policing the current ceasefire. Lebanon has formed a government bringing a question mark over Hezbullah's militancy. The 22 State Arab League even offered to fully recognise Israel and to work towards a normalisation of relations.

Like I said, 'you get what you create.'

I'm not the voice of moderation you say.....

O-Really....I denounce war and conflict. All acts of war and conflict against Israel. Same for Palestine, Iran, America, Eu, China, Tibet, Iraq, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Syria, ......etc. etc.

In fact I challenge you to find one single post of mine where I advocate attacking any country. One single post.
I denounce war. Hence I moderate the action that I advocate to that of non-war, non-violence. That in itself means I advocate both moderation and reform.

    I denounce war.
    Can you say the same?

  6. You get what you create....and I am sad to say you seem to be a very angry young man with delusions of persecution. I hope that you are one day capable of pulling your head from the sand to realise,

"that people on all sides are getting really fed up with their own hawks and militant agenda. And the oppression of one hawk outfit over another people empowers their own hawk movement. The engine works either way. Empower moderatism and reform and you empower other moderates and reform movements. Empower hawkish authoritarianism and you get a reciprocated back lash." That seems to be the Arab and Muslim nations problems that they cannot solve.

    Perhaps you can assist them.

  8. "Zionism is Israel."

No dude it evolved when Israel was formed. It was always a political movement. Hence why somebody can be an Israeli and not a zionist. It has even evolved as a political movement hence my use of neo-zionism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-Zionism

It, like other militant movements such as neo-conservatism and Islamic extremism, is to empower the hawkish authoritarianism. Pushing for war.....such as 'pre-emptive' strikes, lying about reasons to war and extreme prejudice.

►"That seems to be the Arab and Muslim nations problems that they cannot solve."

You just can't seem to help yourself from making racist comments - I wonder if you even know anymore that you're doing it.

But as for helping them....sure I already have. The answer is the same there as it is anywhere else....you empower moderates.

"The oppression of one hawk outfit over another people empowers their own hawk movement. The engine works either way. Empower moderatism and reform and you empower other moderates and reform movements. Empower hawkish authoritarianism and you get a reciprocated back lash."

I then provided with several examples of how progress is being made or is there for the taking:

    I THEN ADDED:

"Don't be so pessimistic young man.....peace can be successful yet if you give it a chance.
But remember you get what you create - history's greatest lesson."

Sadly you seem set on empowering the authoritarian engine and not the moderate.

  9. @Albionshores

No dude, you are the racist. Zionism is the right for Jews to live in their homeland, just like the 60+ Islamic ones which have over 1.2 billion Muslims.

Get over your obsession with Jews and Israel.

We're here to stay. Jews aren't blowing themselves up nor are they engaged in "Jihad"--that's your kind.

Have I not just said that I recognise the state of Israel?
Y'up I did: "as I have said on numerous occasions I recognise the state of Israel"

Have I not on several occassions said that I denounce attacks on Israel?
    Y'up....on this thread again,
    "I denounce war"

Oh....and read the second post again....where I say give peace a chance, talk about empowering the moderates and say, "you get what you create."

We're here to stay....so you're back to being an Israeli again are you? Nevermind....I'll settle for your apology for calling me a racist.

So this is you once again playing the race card. 3 in 3 days.
Are you really sure you want to go down this track.....?

    Oh the 4th time now.

►Now haven't I just provided several links of Muslim countries willing to negotiate and recognise Isreal"◄

    READ AGAIN...
Not negotiate to recognise Israel. Negotiate AND recognise Israel. Put it the other waya round if you like. Recognise Israel AND negotiate.

Only what I actually said was....
"The 22 State Arab League even offered to fully recognise Israel and to work towards a normalisation of relations."

►Israel's right to exist is non-negotiable. If that is your "theory" why should anybody recognize the legitimacy of any Muslim or Arab nations? Different rules for different religions?◄
No not at all. As I have just pointed out I did not say Israel's existence was negotiable. I said I recognised itand that an attack on it could not be justified.

That is the whole point. Which is why I am able to say "no to war",
    No to war against Israel,
    No to war against Palestine,
    No to war against Iran,
    ....etc. etc.

That said, you playing the unsubstantiated anti-semite race card is becoming thin.

  13. @Albionshores

They don't recognize Israel. It exists. It is pure unadulterated Anti-Antisemitism. What is Israel supposed to concede to Arabs and Muslims to be "recognized?"

I say that the Muslim Jihad and wars are their own manifestation of their collective failures and inability to function in the modern world.

  14. @DerivativeRe
    Again your reading comprehension sucks.

You may well say that "muslim Jihad and wars are their own manifestation." You also say much, much more. You refuse to recognise reformist movements whilst trying to justify your own extremist agenda. You even actively seek to play down reform in others to justify militant agenda.

Extremism exists on both and all sides. So does reform. You get what you create. You are quite keen to condemn 'their' extremism, as do I. You are not so keen to condemn extremist actions if it comes from your own quarter or works to further your own agenda.

    See posts 2 and 4.
