  2. The only way he could have possibly made that mistake would be if SOMEONE never sat him down and told him it was a real gun.

How hard would that have been, really?

    Come on, parents!

  4. This story never mentions if these kids were alone in the house. Regardless, these kind of parents don't deserve children. There are many responsible parents out there who can't have kids, while the assholes in the world are popping out one after another. I know this is a little extreme, but that kind of shit really pisses me off!

  5. All parents and people who have kids come to their home should lock up their guns. I've seen special after special on tv where parents swear their kid won't touch a gun - and then on hidden camera they prove these parents wrong. This is such a senseless tragedy that will forever change the lives of many people. =(

  6. Okay, first, I would like to state that the story reported in the media was twisted. There were adults in the house, yes there sure were. The boy had been taught about guns. Never would his mother and father allow themselves to have that gun without teaching the children safety. The boy was trying to take away the pistol from her because he knew it was not a toy. Never once had those parent left that gun out in the open and it really upsets me that the news makes it sound like they did. It was in a "hiding spot" unfortunately as things turned out, it was not good enough. The father of the child that"shot" the girl is deployed. The mother had that for protection because of recent cases with neighbors and even on their own property that the houses and cars were being broken into. Can you imagine having 4 kids in the house and getting your house broken into and being robbed at gun point? Well this mother just wanted that to protect. I copletely understand everybody has the right to their own opinion, however, I also believe they deserve all the facts before making that opinion. This is a loving mother of 3 children, has never used drugs, doesnt drink, works a full time job as well as goes to college all while her husband is deployed. So do not EVER think she doesnt deserve her kids, because she is a completely wonderful woman.

  7. @calinazaret The boy was taught safety....actually at the time of this incident, and how it occured was he was trying to get it from the 3 yr old girl. It was never an issue of he thought it was a toy. HE WAS TAUGHT. Unfortunately the news channel decided to distort everything! Please take a look at the comment i opsted to the topic, it has details

  8. I will let you know of the facts then. The kids were not alone in the house. The mother would never do that. Honestly she is one of the most over-protective mothers around. She works a full-time job, cares for her children, and is going through college all while her husband is delpoyed. She is one of the most responsible parent sas well. It was a friek accident that got blown up by the news channel. She has been in contact with the news channel to try and fix the story, however they have not contacted her back yet. @Nomadelle

Clearly you have some information we don't have on the subject, but even by your account the gun was accessible by a 3 year old girl and loaded. That means it wasn't up high, wasn't locked up, and wasn't under something that couldn't be lifted by a small child.

Even if what you say is true, it wasn't smart to leave a loaded gun in a place the girl could access it. Why not on top of a bookshelf, or under something really heavy? 3 year olds aren't THAT strong. It doesn't make any difference at all what the mother does or doesn't do in her spare time or if the father is deployed. Those things wouldn't prevent their daughter from being killed.

  10. Yes yes, I do indeed have information that you, and the rest of the people, are not being told. Only certain parts are being told, which is upsetting! And you are right! It doesnt matter there was no excuse for that to be where it is accessable for any body. She agrees with that as well. She is also traumatized by the event. Never has she doen a thing wrong, and is just a real joyful person. She would like to just let everybody know that the girl is doing very well, she was released less than 24 hours after the incident and is hyper and happy. Thanks for your time!@calinazaret
