  1. This Russian terror expert claims that the US may have inadvertently trained the terrorists who attacked Mumbai.

  2. Those Russians are full of crap. These guys were trained by Pakistani intelligence. The Pakis have a covert war against all things free and democratic.

    1. @piattorneys I cannot agree with you there. The Pakistani government has been very accommodating to the US in the War on Terror. Just because they are Muslim does not mean they are terrorist.

It is very sad to see people becoming so closed minded when it comes to Muslims or their adversaries. Please note that what is free, democratic and rightful in ones eye is almost always injustice in others eye. USA freed the world by getting rid of communist USSR and this it did by creating Al-Qaeda and other militant groups. USA invaded Vietnam, Korean peninsula, Iraq, Afghanistan and helped Israel occupy Palestine, does everyone sees it as right, of course not. And its not just USA every power be it small or large has this kind of history, be it UK, France, China or Pakistan or India or Iran everyone has committed acts in the name of Freedom, Democracy and World Peace just to maintain or expand their own hegemony.
So instead of being critical of one country, organization or religion we must be open to analyze historical and political facts and then base our perceptions on these analysis.

    3. @Wisdom_Chambers "USA freed the world by getting rid of communist USSR and this it did by creating Al-Qaeda and other militant groups?"

I don't think, sir. The USSR fell under its own weight. The US had little to do with it. It would have fallen whether of not there was a USA.

The US also invaded France during World War II when we stormed Normandy Beach at an enormous cost of US lives. None of the Allies seemed to mind that invasion, now did they?

  3. We could only guess here and we will never know what is the real truth behind all those secret services...they are far too professional and 'dirty' to talk to the public...

  4. I am sure all of you have heard, "Keep you friends close and your enemies closer." If the Russian government could, the would start U.S.S.R. all over again. Just flush your toilet to everything the Russian government says on anything.

  5. I have to generally agree with the sentiments in this room. I don't trust the Russians nor the Pakistani's. Millions of dollars we have given the Pakistani government has gone directly into the hands of terrorists. I understand they were trying to pay-off people in the tribal regions to be against Al Queda, but the method was 50-50 at best.
Can someone explain this article to me? If the US trained these troups around two years before the Soviet withdrawl. that would be 1987. The terrorists would be 50 or 60 by now. Or do they mean the US trained them how to train others to be commandos and these guys are the 3rd and 4th generation of people trained in this way?

    1. @troyo33 That is a very good question, but they may only be 40-45 years old too. Your question pretty much tells us that this Russian is wrong in what he says. Good thinking.

They are constantly being funded by different Agencies and Groups... Everyone uses them for their own secret goals.

Pakistani Intelligence used them against USSR, CIA openly funded them. Those were the times that Afghanistan had so much Grenades and Stingers that kids used to sell them for pennies...

There were so many Stingers that they were used for Drain Pipe Purposes.

Now after the USSR collapse,, USA turned their face away from this Afghanistan and Pakistani Tribal Regions and let them be on their own. Obviously this was the time when a major mistake was committed.

USA should have funded for Schools, Colleges and Agriculture so these people should come back towards a normal life.

So what we see now is actually a result of 30 years of WAR and Ignorance that it followed.

    3. @jasmine The USA is not a bottomless pit filled with money. The US already gives more foreign aid to other countries than any other country in the world, but we cannot afford to spend our hard earned money on other people forever. People have to help themselves. The criticism that the USA did not spend enough money here or there is just not realistic. It is a big world, and the USA is not interested in running it regardless of whatever some of our idiot presidents do or say. Least of all we cannot afford to spend, spend, spend continuously without stopping.
