   Pownce eclipses Twitter in terms of utility and functionality. But the success of anything on the web these days is decided by any so-called "A-list" blogger who happens to glance at something and say (or write on their blog), something to the effect of: "Oooh, shiney!" And everyone else rushes in, regardless of the merits of said software.

   Which is a shame. And that is sort of the back story to Pownce (the decline thereof) and Twitter (the success thereof)...

      so basically what you're saying is that you can't use Twitter to share your mp3's?

      Kidding. :)

      Really though, Pownce stayed in Beta for too long and didn't get the adoption that it needed that makes Twitter so successful. Well, time will tell if Twitter is successful too I suppose...

      @onreact.com - hmmm the latter has sold two companies and has millions of dollars to show for it, the former does not. Money does not equal success, but in this instance it is the only way to compare.
