Although there are a number of chapters I really loved specifically, the part about strafing their own airfield was great.

Ahh Milo and M&M enterprises. Lol...then Col. Cathcart later tries accredit him with flying the mission so he can keep doing what he's doing. I think I blew a gasket trying to work out how he bought eggs at 7cents and sold at 5 and still made a profit; and blew a second getting my head round buying tomatoes to sell to Col. Cathcart who sold them unknowingly back to him which he sold?!?!? Genius. The only people that profit from war are the profiteers.

I loved the interrogation of the chaplain but Orr has it in the bag:

"Oh, they're there, all right," Orr had assured him about the flies in Appleby's eyes after Yossarian's fist fight with Appleby in the officers' club, "although he probably doesn’t even know it. That's why he can’t see things as they really are." "How come he doesn't know it?’ inquired Yossarian. "Because he’s got flies in his eyes," Orr explained with exaggerated patience. "How can he see he's got flies in his eyes if he's got flies in his eyes?"

And Orr had to paddle to Sweden because the whore he'd paid wouldn't hit him hard enough over the head with a shoe. What could make more sense?

Simply Genius! It took me about three attempts to get with it. But when I finally did, it was right up there in my top 10.
