  1. "An Australian psychology expert who has been studying emotions has found being grumpy makes us think more clearly.

In contrast to those annoying happy types, miserable people are better at decision-making and less gullible, his experiments showed"

That's it! I've got my excuse to be grumpy from now on!
Don't you dare trying to cheer me up! ;-p

      For now, maybe...

But I'm going to read as many trolls' comments as possible tonight.
That should do the trick. After that, I shall be the king of the Grumps! ;-p

It could be close. As I am British, and grumpy by default, I start in the lead. Although being French must annoy you, so you're close at the outset, but I still pull ahead. Plus I've spent half my life in America, so I'm annoyed at that; but you're French and in England, a land that hates the French (and rightly so, I must point out), so actually, I think that pretty well evens us out. But then! I have ancestors from France, so technically, I hate myself because of my own... View more

We shall have to see. If you win the curmudgeon award, I will grant you the win. If not, you aren't nearly grumpy enough.

          LOL!

Logically, in this case, the curmudgeon award would be for downvoting cheerful submissions. I want to be the grumpiest, NOT the meanest ;-p

Oh wait, that's right...damn my cock-eyed optimism. It's such a bother...okay the fact that it bothers me made me grumpy again.

See, pretty soon all the Mixxers are going to be thinking more clearly thanks to this sub... If they pay attention, that is.

  3. It makes perfect sense because when we are angry we are less impulsive, more critical, and especially more defensive, which describes the average person abiding by all the the rules that govern our society. But who is to say that being angry, desolate, temperamental, and judgmental is good for our health.

  4. So, even though we may think more clearly it will not be more pleasant or 'good for you'.

You'll be a SuperGrump when you've mastered the art of arguing with yourself...
Not as easy as it looks though. Plus, it's an art that's best practiced on your own.

Nothing makes me grumpier than seeing spams being posted on my submissions' comments threads.

Unfortunately they don't stay long ;-p
