  1. This is not a dupe but an update. The death toll continues to rise. I was right in the middle of these storms last night. Atom boys if you are ok let me know. I know the storms ripped through E-Town last night.

    Yes, I'm still here. Funny thing, though:
    I used to have 2 large trees in my front yard, sort of split off from one another. One of them came down in last week's storm. Lost the other one this morning. Both of them could have easily come down on the house, but they both either fell in the street or the yard, thank G-d.

    @cmcgill
    related articles would be a great addition to Mixx, glad to hear it!

  9. @SilentJay74 Thanks for checking in, man. Yes, we're still here. My DH is a former AF weather guy, so I had to practically drag him in off the porch (he once ran down a flight line TOWARDS a tornado "to get a better look".) But we're all fine.

  10. @SilentJay74 We're mostly good here in the 'Ville as far as I can tell. Most of the damage in KY seems to be Muhlenberg County. Few folks without power up here, but I think we're all good.

  12. Very Sad... all those people have our prayers here and Jay how did you fair it all of this?

    Today its going to be 75 here in the Outer Banks... but tomorrow we expect this front to turn into a Nor'Easter for us..... so I hope you are not reading about me tomorrow.

    I didn't get much sleep is all. Every time I tried to the sirens went off. I was talking to Greg via Skype and I felt the storm coming. Seriously, my house shook.

    Those Nor'easters can be a bear. I remember them from when I lived out there.
