An interesting Google Maps-Youtube mashup called YouTube Vision, shows the most recent geotagged videos being uploaded to YouTube.

Web mashups are skyrocketing in popularity, and the best mashups are both visually appealing and either useful or, at least, entertaining to the point of needing to come with a warning label not to view at work if you want to get anything done.

ActiveTags is a Firefox extension that lets you use tags on any web page. When it detects tags on pages it shows mashups that are relevant for resources with these tags. It comes with built in mechanisms to detect tags on pages.

Monitter is a mashup which lets you "monitter" the twitter world for a set of 3 keywords which you type: type three words into the three search boxes and within seconds you'll start seeing relevant tweets streaming live.

Twitter is not my favourite application as you must know by now, but I am often amazed by the things people come up with using their api. It’s filled with tons and tons of useless information. Brilliant for a weirdo mashup.
