It's what they call a 'graveyard' . Kinda like an injoke... people start burying comments to make sure everyone stays uniformly buried except for a few which they digg up. Is it malicious? Nah.. I don't think its really a 'bury brigade'... just one of the juvenile things which pass as humor on digg.
