Greg Evigan (perhaps you know him from "My Two Dads"? No?) and his pet monkey do some long-haul trucking. Do they pull these plots out of a hat or what? Another show I remember... and this one was actually pretty good.

I remember looking forward to the pilot. It was an awful show that was trying to ride on the success of TRON. Even as a child, I remember being sick of the lame jokes and terrible acting before the first episode was over. It's amazing in its awfulness.

Andy Griffith builds a rocket ship in is junkyard and goes to the moon to salvage abandoned space junk. I kid you not. It was a weekly show that I remember watching as a kid. It stuck around for a while, too, if I remember correctly.

The ultimate in BBC science fiction from my youth. Everything a growing child could need: telepathy, teleporting, a talking computer before anyone had computers... oh, and 70's lapels and disco boots!

And you thought the Teletubbies caused a homophobic scandal. Whatever would have happened if those folks got an eyeful of this children's show from my youth?!

A blast from my past. My favourite show on the BBC, when I was a young child, was "The Clangers". Space mice who spoke only in slide whistle tones. Nostalgia at its best.

Before Alvin and the Chipmonks... almost before T.V... the BBC had "Pinky and Perky" the marionette pigs. A little bit of nostalgia.

Anyone who has seen "White Nights (1985)" will know this as the song behind that amazing Baryshnikov dance scene. The song is Koni Priviredliviye (Fastidious Horses) sung by Russian bard Vladimir Vysotsky. The power and pain in his voice is mind-blowin
