I have been a Leader, Manager, Coach and Consultant for the last twenty-five years and just love sharing my knowledge. I also love life - my wife (Joy), kids (Lucy / David), dog (Sam who is diabetic), music (RHCP to Earth Wind & Fire), eating (especially chocolate), drinking (Belgian beer), walking along the seafront (we live by the sea), laughing with friends (yes, I do have some!), learning something new, people...

How Much Does It Cost To Keep A Dog?
- view story
Very little up until about a year ago when our dog, Sam (a border collie) became diabetic, went blind and had been going down hill since. But he is 12 (today actually!) and has given us lots of loyal love over the years. He is still mad when palying with his ball, though. He still thinks he is a puppy. We don't even think about the cost.

Some great ideas!
The article reminds me of a book I recently read, The Dream Manager by Matthew Kelly.
n "The Dream Manager," author Matthew Kelly has written a book which is 'a must read for anyone who desires to help others achieve their dreams'.
Whether you are a manager, leader, mentor or coach this book will help transform the way you relate to others.
Individuals have dreams. The book teaches you to understand the dreams of individuals and then help to fulfil them. The book is a fictional story and I found it very easy to relate my life and experience to the story.
I’ve been a manager for 25 years and this book provided me with many new powerful and inspiring methods when working with individuals. A brilliant book.

Dragons’ Den Series 5 Episode 8 | Business Opportunities And Ideas

My wife and I are avid watchers of Dragons Den and have been for all the shows. And that’s what it is now, a show! Most of them have turned into horrible individuals and yes, they have the experience but just dam right rude and don’t get the best of you. (Although I do think, some of the pitches are truly awful). I’d be quite interested to see if they are really like that or does the BBC or TV make then ‘act’ that way.
The only current Dragon I’d ever want to work with is James Caan (and Richard Farleigh from the last series and Simon Woodruff from the first).
I think the BBC should have a Dragons Den panel made up from the individuals who have been successful in their pitches and businesses from previous shows. Let’s see how they perform or will the BBC change them as well.

Happy with your 2007? Will your 2008 be better?

So here's mine:
- increase my web clients and customers and earnings ten-fold
- set-up 4 joint ventures for my web business
- create 4 new product offerings for my web business
- take my wife out on a date 2 times every month
- actually go on holiday - somewhere nice and hot (haven't had a holiday in 2 years!)
- get into the habit of exercising 3 times a week for at least 20 mins
- read 1 new book every month - either a self development or autobiography
- give something back via charity. I have decided that 100% of the net profits from my next product, which is an audio of revealing interviews with top famous successful individuals (in the world of self development, leadership and management) will be given to a Breast cancer charity

@juggling.jason
Thanks for commenting. I agree with your comments entirely. What I was trying to say (maybe badly!) is the opening and conclusion are so important make sure you get them right. One way to do that is to write them down and practice by reading the words aloud. That way, you will not be all mixed up and forget what you want to get across.
