What Are Your Creative Triggers? | Collective Thoughts
- 12 days ago
- view story
I find creative triggers when I sit alone in a public place, just absorbing the vibe around me. I also make sure to always have my Moleskine and a pencil handy so I don't lose inspiration once it strikes.
Having a beer or three doesn't hurt either. -

Best Android Apps: Android's 10 Most Exciting Apps
- about 1 month ago

These are all great. There's an inherent problem with all of this stuff though ... T-Mobile didn't solve one of the iPhone's biggest problems and that's battery life. Run these apps like you want to and you'll need to charge your phone twice a day, maybe more.

Blogs vs Websites; Which is better for you?
- view story
This is poorly written to be sure ... but hidden inside this mess is one good thing to keep in mind: "Blogs show your visitors that there are real people behind it, updating it frequently, and always present useful and worthy information for them."
I think any time you can humanize a website, the better. -

McCain said to choose Alaska gov as running mate

Wow!
I find it very interesting that McCain blasts Obama because of his lack of experience, then chooses a woman who is 44 years old, and has been governor for less than two years. -

Yahoo! Buzz Is Ready To Change The Web

I'm not sure if it will kill Digg. But it will take away from it a bit. The allure of having a story posted on the front page of Yahoo means that it must be taken seriously. If Yahoo really makes an effort to publish stories from Buzz to the front page of Yahoo from even the smallest publishers ... look out.
Check this out too, it may be helpful for some publishers out there:

I'm very interested to see how the market shapes up for dot-me. And to see whether, over time, dot-com becomes less important.

Obama's VP choice imminent via website, e-mail, text message

This is so interesting - he's circumventing the press.
Does it shore up his commitment as a voice to the people, the voice of a new generation of leaders or alienate potential voters and make him look like a trendy politician not ready for the role of Commander in Chief? -
