The Decline and Fall of Quality on Digg - ReadWriteWeb

You know, as a new mixxer I do see a lot of the "Why Dig Sucks" type articles popping up which kind of brings down the mood. I remember in highschool when I would hang with one group of friends only to roll my eyes whenever they'd slam on other groups. Ok, loose analogy, but the point is pretend Digg doesn't exist ... do your own thing. Taking shots at established competitions only (to me anyways) makes mixx look insecure and petty. Which it isn't. I'm loving it. Put down...the gun...

I don't know...something tells me that if I were in the throws of a natural disaster, my twitter messages would require much more that 140 characters and/or an inappropriate amount of obscenities. That is assuming I go to my computer first instead of, oh, you know FINDING HELP

The Anti-Advertising Agency Fights: "You Don't Need This" Stickers

This is silly - and just a little pretentious. You don't want something, then fine, don't buy it - exercise a little self restraint - but why the backlash against companies trying to market their goods? This is an open economy right? I swear, everyone thinks marketers and advertisers are grumpy old misers who sit behind a giant desk twiddling their thumbs while they watch a panel of televisions depicting helpless consumers spend themselves into debt. They're not, they're normal people doing a job. Meh - to each their own folks...to each their own.
