The Myth of Moderate Exercise
- view story
Nothing is a one-size fits all thing. I consume 12 glasses of water per day and sometimes it seems too little. It all depends on your size, exercise level, and the way your body works. So too it is with exercise. But a clear consensus seems to be emerging that 3 x 30 is inadequate; I aim for 6 x 60; as we say in this article, the only way to achieve that is by making exercise an integral part of your life, rather than something you do in your spare time.

This is largely an opinion piece. A piece debunking myths should stick to facts, and provide supporting evidence.

Tax rebate checks are swallowed by economic malaise

So does this say that there is no such thing as "trickle up" ? And that a plan to issue more stimulus checks and further cut middle class taxes, while increasing taxes on business owners, may damage the economy ?

Steve Jobs: When Does Private Become Public?
- view story
If, at a time when Steve Jobs is still CEO of Apple, his health ever deteriorates to a point that he can no longer substantially perform his job functions, then the fact that he is unable to do so is a matter that must be disclosed to the investing public. Until then, Steve Jobs' health is a private matter, and the Company has no obligation to give quarterly updates on it, even in response to a rumor published in the New York Post. So long as Jobs is able to perform his functions, how could Apple's CFO have answered that question ? Anything short of bringing Jobs' personal physician onstage with charts and sonograms could later be construed to be misleading. And if he answered it then, wouldn't it then have been asked at every public appearance he ever made in the future ? And any time he tried to put the genie back in the bottle by refusing to answer would have started another avalanche of rumors.
