This is how the most liberal state in the nation treats and views its minority citizens. That's because it's also one of the whitest states in the nation...and a scary amount of Vermont's native citizens want it to stay that way.

Buy local has been the Vermont way of life since before it became a trend. Visit one of the state's farms, and one of its farmers' markets (there are over 50 in the summer), to see why local produce is greener - figuratively and literally.
