I am convinced that five years ago the Big Three started producing vehicles that are among the best in the world. Regardless of whether there is a bailout or the industry is restructured, skeptical U.S. customers need to give American cars a chance.

Obama's base of small donors was almost exactly the same percent as George W. Bush's in 2004 -- Obama had 26% and the great Republican satan 25%. Obviously, this is unacceptable to current popular thinking.
