...these atheists believe it is acceptable for a presidential candidate to consciously deceive religious people in order to gain votes, and then work to promote a secular atheistic society in opposition to those who voted them in.

I have no doubt that there is Medicare fraud amounting to huge sums of money. Why are they not working NOW, John McCain, to eliminate it?? Why do we have to wait for McCain or Obama to become president before they start to eliminate waste and abuse? Shouldn't they be doing that now as part of the job we pay them for? politics: Poli (Greek for many) + tics (blood sucking insects)

McCain's health plan could result in cuts of $1.3 trillion over 10 years to Medicare and Medicaid. Mr. Holtz-Eakin said the savings would come from eliminating Medicare fraud and by reforming payment policies to lower the overall cost of care.

This is a rather lengthy article with plenty of references for its statements. It would be helpful for those trying to make up their mind if Obama would make a suitable POTUS if comments made were on topic. Ad hominem attacks are not useful. I, for one, would like to know why his Hawaiian birth certificate, if it exists, has not been made public to put that issue to rest.
