geekcondition.com — I have no idea how this one done but it sure looks cool. I'd image it would take a lot of time and care to make sure each appendage didn't fuse into the ones next to each other.

  2. About 2 years ago I caught a TV show about an art exhibition featuring lots of different kinds of glasswork. The squiddy stuff was one of the pieces they spent more than a few seconds on.
    Each tendril is blown individually, and the end you can't see gets a glass loop blown into it. The loops allow the pieces to be wired to a metal scaffold of whatever shape the artist wants.
