  1. I think StumbleUpon users behaviour is largely unpredictable. So, there might be 1000 users who skip your page, yet about a few hundred others that are attracted by it. In the end, not only the content matters, the total amount of StumbleUpon users also matters, if according to this article, I assume there are a lot!

  2. @bobbytoat -- it is unpredictable, I completely agree. SU has been the #1 source of referral traffic to my main blog for at least 18 months running, but sometimes the stuff I think will work doesn't get any traffic, and stuff that I think has no chance becomes really hot. It's strange, but I can't complain with the traffic. :)
