Kosovo declares independence from Serbia

  2. This is unbelievable, is that US and EU democracy to give permission for independence one terroristic organization called OVK or UCK, what you like? One question did America give independence for example TEXAS or England to give SCOTLAND independence? Answer: NO! So why Serbia need do that with his own territory? Kosovo for Serbia means more than Alaska to US!!! Many monastery is there, more that you can imagine! That place is cradle of Serbian people!!! Just think that some Albanian guy say that Washington is independent from US! Nobody can take the part of Serbia just like that! In further period i expect more political tension, and maybe some instability in the world! BE CAREFUL!!! SERBIA DON'T GIVE UP FROM PART OF HIS TERRITORY!!!

  4. By this act thing will never be the same since 1945 when U.N. was established.This is the end of rights of countries. This virus will spread now in many places all over the world, when ethnic minority ask and requests independence !!!

  7. International law doesn't exist anymore! Now everybody should be scare because nothing could protect you now. There is no more "perfect" law equal for everyone. From now, it would be as one man or one institution or one country or ONE... say no matter if that isn't ethically or humanly.

  9. People seem to feel incredibly strongly about this. Being a lazy American who has nothing to do with such things, I don't see what the big deal is.

    It's important to be able to call a place your home, and if the people in Kosovo want to . . . then why not? I choose to be a part of this country because the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, but if I didn't want to, then no-one could stop me.

    The people in the article seemed to be so happy to have their independence. It seems wrong to forcibly take away a person's passion like that.
