Republican John McCain is launching an attack on rival Barack Obama in a new television ad that accuses Obama of switching positions on Iraq to help himself become president.

  1. This kind of thing is silly. McCain has realigned his position on a variety of issues over time. Who hasn't? Things change, new information is acquired, new points of view are expressed, perspectives change. I'm more concerned about someone who maintains a given viewpoint steadfastly despite changing conditions or someone who changes perspective as often as underwear.
