  2. @jtp51 I was going for infuriating, but hey, you're totally entitled to your own feelings :)

  3. I never know whether to vote up or down stories that have content that I disapprove of.

This is a good example... I mean, I'm clearly supposed to vote it up if I feel passionately either way, but aren't tacitly approving in a way? I mean, giving attention to things like marines killing dogs and terrible politicians both outs them and promotes them right?

    anyway, good submission.

  4. @white.brennan Thanks so much! I totally get that sometimes, I think the voting is for the type of stuff you want to see appear on Mixx, and in the comments you tell your opinion (well that's how I do it...) I posted this herendous Fashion add a couple days ago, I definitely don't approve of the content, but I wanted to share my outrage. Some people I mixxed it to, others I emailed (the good old fashioned way...lol)

  5. @white.brennan Another thought: If you ignore the content or vote it down, people won't be aware of it! (remember the southpark episode when they burried their heads in the sand?)

  6. @Tali: I guess I feel it's sad, because a lot of stories like this are becoming abundent. People should be left to make their own decisions on what they see or don't see.

  7. @Tali I definitely agree that voting up is the way to go. I simply feel bad as I also use the voting up button to show my approval of things I like. Maybe Mixx needs to add a "promote cause I disapprove" button. lol. Agreed about the function of comments as well.

Good submission again Tali, keep it up.

  8. @jtp51 I know what you mean, this is just scary shit that shouldn't be happening, but it seems to be happening more often lately. On the bright side: maybe we're more aware because of how open the internet is. (I'm planning on being branded a pervert- I'd prefer that over not being able to buy lingerie online!)

  9. To clarify: Maybe Tali, jtp51 and I all voted up for this because it pissed us off and made us sad. How do we know that's true of the other 4 voters? Maybe they voted up because they approve of govt censorship! Having a way to clarify other than the comments would make that clear and improve the discussion.

  10. @white.brennan good point. maybe there should be a more complex voting system, like "I want to see more of this on Mixx" and another category for " but I want to crack the heads of the assholes who are doing this", I can see it now.... :)

  11. @white.brennan A friend of mine just suggested to me we need an anger meter, what do you think?

    • (0 Kudos received)
  12. Totally agree. Just like restaurants need the "tip-o-meter" that you can crank up and down based on how well your experience is going. You suggest it and I got yo' back.

  13. @white.brennan awesome! that way you don't suck it up and spend the whole evening complaining how bad the service was.

  14. @Tali,
Well if it makes you feel any better for every such law Israel is struggling against you've got brothers and sisters in arms because the UK and the US are going through similar stuff too.

It seems the US have a significant proportion of people that are aware and concerned. Speaking as someone that has come from the UK, that isn't the case there. They know its going on in America but are oblivious or apathetical to what is happening at home....

I'd say take whatever 'vote up' you get as meaning more people are learning about this. There can't be that many a**holes in the world who would support this legislation.

Out of interest where on the UK-oblivious US-aware scale would you put Israel?

  15. @Albionshores Glad you asked because I was gonna answer even if you didn't. :P

you know when you cook a frog you don't put it in boiling water. You start with cold and turn the heat on later. otherwise it jumps right out.

besides, people like it when they dont have to think for themselves.

I say this not to be cruel, but it seems Israelis aren't aware of many things that they allow.

  16. @Tali,
So pretty much the same as the UK then.

  17. @Albionshores maybe it's the food... No more Falafel for you Brits!

This kind of shit is in progress everyday. There's a real dedemocretization trend and nobody cares. It's scary.

  18. @Tali,
    They may take our Falafels,
but they'll never take our Hummus

    • (0 Kudos received)
  19. @Albionshores lol! what are you gonna do with a plate of humus and no internet porn, man? It's like playing pool with no balls ;P

    • (0 Kudos received)
  20. *salutes Tali*
I never knew Humus and Porn had a symbiotic relationship before.

    It all makes sense now.

  21. @white.brennan

Yeh, that's why there should be a blue button in between the red and green, for "indifferent" people. xD

  23. you know, seeing that Israel is now a "totalitarian regime", i guess that means Dubya needs to send in a Democratization force of some kind...

you know, just a quick "three-day" thing with "only military targets" and "some nation building" and set them on the path towards "self-governance"

what do you all think? should i write Pennsylvania Ave. to get things, um...rolling?

  24. @yoda That'll be the day, I'm with you- otherwise it's just not fair ;)

  25. Well I don't see the problem if the default subscription is the uncensored one, families that want a filtered subscription should sign up for it...not the other way around..

But hey thats coming from a person living in a country that censors and doesn't give you a choice!

  26. @bianconeri Yeah, politicians think the opposite of normal people- they're haywired that way :P

    • (0 Kudos received)
  27. Haywired?

    • (0 Kudos received)
  28. @Cocreator

    haywire |?h??w?r|
    adjective informal
erratic; out of control : her imagination had gone haywire.
ORIGIN early 20th cent. (originally U.S.): from hay 1 + wire , from the use of hay-baling wire in makeshift repairs.

    :D
