readwriteweb.com — An alternative search engine launched last night. It's called Cuil and, if you're a reader of tech blogs and/or the New York Times, you've no doubt been hammered with the news all day.

  1. Well, I think it got so much publicity because A) It was founded by people who came out of Google and the expectations are high. B) They have good PR. C) The market is ripe and really needs an alternative to Google. It yearns for it - and cuil MIGHT be the answer, although it has a long way to go.
