Home-built Batman Tumbler invades the suburbs view story

42 votes

engadget.com — While we're guessing "working replica" might be a bit of a stretch, this full-size, drivable Tumbler built by Bob Dullam in his garage is still quite the impressive piece of work, and will no doubt crush any eBay records set by home-built K.I.T.T.

  1. This thing is just crazy. Who has the time to build something like that? I guess this guy.

    1. @marchdoe Yeah, I wish I had the time and the money to build that....

Still, I don't know if I had the time, I'd spend the money to build it...doubt its street legal.

  2. Seriously how bad would you shit yourself if you saw this thing barreling down on you in your rear view mirror?

    1. @SilentJay74 - no kidding. I remember one day I was driving home from work and heard a motorcycle behind me. I looked in the review and about crapped my pants. The guy had a full helmet with mask on and on the mask he had painted a face that looked a lot like the crypt keeper. The helmet also had hair attached to it. It was quite amazing and scary as the same time.

  4. looks like a sand rail (dune buggy) with plate siding--what a waste of money

    1. @musheenelves maybe a waste of money to you, but obviously not to this guy. I give him props for building it.

    2. @musheenelves If he has the money to blow, who cares, its his money (now granted I can think of plenty of BETTER uses for the money) but like @kernwill said, props for such a good job.
