baltimoresun.com — When the shooting stopped, two dogs lay dead. A mayor sat in his boxers, hands bound behind his back. His handcuffed mother-in-law was sprawled on the kitchen floor, lying beside the body of one of the family pets that police had killed before her eyes.

  1. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure this one out.

  2. This article doesn't surprise me at all. I had a nephew murdered while in county jail and I am still waiting for their excuse for his death. How can a person in maximum security prison die from an overdose of drugs? That was about 5 years ago. The police in that area of Maryland really need to be investigated there are alot of things that go on that shouldn't. I believe the bad guys are on the wrong side of the bars over there.

  3. More fodder for the growing sentiments against the current "Drug War" . . .
It's amazing that the interviewed police representative (police chief?) spoke with a calm, candid, and smiling demeanor. This family's two dogs were killed, the mayor and his mother-in-law were cuffed, and - of course - the contraband was seized. The latter justifies the former. The spokesman didn't even try to sound reticent or remorseful.

Disgusting display of an over-zealous, shoot-now ask-later, national drug enforcement policy that keeps our prison systems jumping with federal monies.
