businessshrink.biz — A social networking player that is utilizing Google's OpenSocial while slightly competing with MySpace / Facebook took a drastic step on Aug. 22nd, 2008 Friday morning to shut down the leading 3rd party applications provider for Ning, WidgetLaboratory.

  1. Ning was a great site to allow people to create social network niches. It was growing incredibly fast and it's pretty amazing they made a move like this without warning any users or network developers. This has hurt a lot of people, their networks and users. A half billion dollar company making moves like this is no good!
