  3. Ron Fournier of the AP wasted no time in coming out criticizing Biden as the choice, implying Obama was conceding a lack of experience with the choice. Quite an emotional response, likely with hidden reasons. However, not true on the concession thing. It would appear a logical, well thought out choice. Perhaps hard for a journalist of 20 years to see from within the forest. First rule of a good manager, leader, administrator, even politician, shore up weak spots with those who have the qualities you need to solidify your team of leadership. This was good business sense, and good leadership. Bush tried the same, just got people with the wrong character and self-serving agendas. Biden is good friends with Chuck Hagel, my first choice, so he can relate across party lines, knows the ropes as well. Not perfect to all, but apparently his constituents like him as they keep sending him back to D.C. , which means he must serve them well I was not an Obama fan... until now. Biden was a smart choice, a logical, not emotional one. Nothing but an asset with his experience. I don't see Bush mistakes the next four if elected.

  4. Wise decision although I do not like his pro-war stance.

  5. Given that O'Bama can't speak without a teleprompter and Biden can't write his own speeches should this be called this the Wizard of Oz ticket!

O'Bama says he'll bring change. Is this like change in a jar on your dresser? Give us substance!

  6. Judging from the other options for VP Obama had little choice but to choose Biden. As far as belittling them for having some of the characteristics of ALL politicians...That's just plain silly. Obama/Biden present a change from the neolithic era conservativism of the last 8 years and the paleolithic version that McCain would bring.

  8. I knew he wasn't going to do it, but I'm just relieved that Hillary wasn't his choice.

  10. I like Biden. He was my favorite in the primaries, but he got NO traction against Hillary and Obama.

While I like Obama's choice of Joe for VP, one thing I actually like about Obama, I am surprised the polls are not showing a bump in Obama's favour.

Could it be that choosing a seasoned political veteran with lots of foreign policy experience has actually had the effect of underscoring Obama's own inadequacies and done harm to his chances?

I would have thought the opposite, but perhaps that's not how middle America sees it. Time will tell...
