Charlton Heston Dead at 84

This is heart breaking to me. Heston was one of the good guys, I have a personal letter of thank you from him on my wall from when he was President of the NRA. A great American has passed.

I'm very shocked at this news. I know he was getting on in years, but you just can't imagine someone who said the lines "From My Cold Dead Hands" passing on. Doesn't matter whether you were a fan or not; or whether you agreed with his politics or not, this guy was a massive part of film history, May he rest in peace

Some of my all time favourite movies growing up starred this man. Watch the fully restored version of Ben Hur and tell me your throat doesn't still close up at the end. Soylent Green, The Omega Man, and of course Planet of the Apes all blew my mind.
