   I think the key thing here is that the music industry found a way to partner with online properties and created the whole digital download thing. Keep in mind that they're still $4B down in revenue from where they were circa 1999.

   last.fm is a great service. I agree with what they are saying as I do not know how many times I have heard a song on the net and if I really liked it I will go buy it.

   I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, but it's totally replaced my iPod at work. It's great to be able to hear similar artists to ones that I like, and yes, I've gone out and bought songs (albums) based on what I've heard.

   One slight glitch was when my daughter wanted to hear "The Wiggles" I put that in, song 1 was Dora, then for some reason it moved into Peter Gabriel & Billy Joel...
