  1. I never thought about how minute changes in climate would affect industries like winegrowers. Very wide area of impact, as well: California, Chile, South Africa, Australia and the Mediterranean Basin region. Interesting article!

  2. My wife drinks the hell out of Yellow Tail Chard, and it is an Aussie wine. She isn't gonna like this at all.

  3. Climate change is gonna spoil a lot more serious things than Chardonnay... unfortunately, I think.

  5. Oh wait, so now it's "climate change" rather than "global warming"? Next they'll be telling us it's an ice age, and the sheeple won't remember a damn thing. Can't tell you how many times I"ve been threatened and call names because I laughed at the idea of global warming....

  6. I'm wondering if the winegrowers will just abandon the land they have been growing on, or if perhaps they will use it for another type of agriculture. It's too bad the article doesn't discuss what will happen to the land that's already been used for winegrowing once the climate supposedly changes enough so that the farmers will have to change locations.

  7. robot -- awesome! i thought i was the only one. somebody comes out with a movie and now everyone believes that humans are causing global warming! Global warming/climate change is happening, but it has happened many times and at varying degrees (heehee) over the last 4.5 billion years. It doesn't mean that humans are causing it. I'm all for new technology and less dependence on oil (foreign or otherwise), but let's get real. There are top respected scientists on both sides of the issue. Let's stop debating whether humans are causing it and concentrate on making the US some money!!!

As far as the grapes go, everyone is hurting -- it sucks!

I wish someone would discuss the deteriorating infrustructures that brings us our electricity to our homes. Talk about waste! People should highlight projects like in NY where they are experimenting with supercooled technology to retain the electricity as much as possible over long distances.
