  1. Does it really have to be the "One" or the "Other", I like Mixx but I not dislike Digg...they just different....

Unfortunately, diggers almost definitely feel this way, especially because some long time diggers came here. It is about "owning" the space which as we have seen from digg is not helpful to the masses anyway.

  3. Great post Method Man! I have been saying the same thing for a while. BDog2g2 and I had a conversation last night similar to this. The users on the Digg community who bash are honestly the Social Media Network n00bs. You never see Top Diggers or Mixxers bash people. Why? The whole arena of social news and media networks depends on positive interaction with users. If you want your story voted up, then don't be a complete jerk or Mr. or Mrs, Knowitall, when it comes to commenting. Polite and respectful criticism does exist. I have a lot of friends on Digg and most are top Diggers. They actually come over to Mixx every now and then and lend positive support. Social Media and News Networks are about content delivery, getting eyes on the content. So far I have Mixx to be a much more pleasant place to deliver content. Great article man, keep up the good work!

I enjoy using both sites, the contents that are being submitted are both exceptionally good, but when it comes to the users I'd have to say that the Mixx crowd are far better and more friendlier.

  5. I prefer Mixx, but I'm still a Digg user. Old habits are hard to break I guess. So far Mixx users seem friendlier than many of those on Digg, but Mixx will undoubtedly get it's share of "juveniles".

  6. They both have their weaknesses, but for me, a good attitude in the comments is the most important thing, and I found that on Mixx. But unless the karma system works in a radically different way, I can't see why the tone shouldn't change as Mixx grows, and more and more flamers come over from Digg and other social news sites.

  7. "Mixx members are laid back, they will not make fun of you if you misspelled a title heading, they will not call you names, and I have yet to see anybody curse at someone." now i think that is true from the time i have been on this site... thats why i like it so much. thanks peeps :-)

  8. I'm on your side. And your side. And your side. And yours and yours and yours and yours! And mine, of course.

There should be enough reasons for both sites to exist.

  11. Honestly, It's getting tedious seeing anti digg stuff on here. I don't support digg by any means because it seems they ban for stuff that simply isn't true and don't allow any enquiry into why. But really, why are we giving them the time of day on here? We shouldn't bother.

This place is a good thing. Forget digg. Even to say it sucks.
