  2. @calinazaret - it is pretty cool. I could see that being used to make certain items into collectibles. They could get really creative with it.

  3. Those are pretty cool. I like the first one the best too, but many are good. I can see in time how the bar code art will match the product and I would think company logos will also fine their way in there.

  4. Sadly most of it stolen with no attribution... Btw. barcodes are sooo 20th century! RFID is now and it knows what knickers you wear.

  6. Why? Don't get me wrong, the artistic aspect of the pieces is great, but is this really a selling point for products? I can't imagine anyone saying, "Well, I was still a little skeptical about that back of Cheetos, but that cliff-hanger bar code art really sold it to me"

  7. @zheisey -- because being remarkable is good marketing. Purple Cow, and all that.

  8. @pleeker --I understand that aspect of it...I guess if it works, and people buy more products because of it, then more power to the marketers

  9. @zheisey -- yeah, I'm with you. I don't see anyone hanging their marketing campaign on it, but it's just another thing that might get people talking about your product. Like Coke or Pepsi making themed soda cans, but a little cooler than that. :-)
