They seemed to be screencaps by a "white hat" hacker who reset the password to stop hackers getting into the account. No confirmation on whether it was legit.

    3. @cGt2099 I think it was.. I just went over to Gawker and fell down a rabbit hole of links. Wild. I didn't even know she was in trouble over using a non-gov account for gov business. Come to think of it, I may have heard or read a headline somewhere, but I never pursued it... wild. Oh, Sarah Palin....

"I didn't even know she was in trouble over using a non-gov account for gov business. Come to think of it, I may have heard or read a headline somewhere, but I never pursued it"

Two of your "I's" in the same sentence seeming to condone illegal invasion of privacy among other dozens of laws broken by illegally breaking into someone's email account.

Appalling the kind of moral equivalence being displayed. The Obama supporters live in a rat infested sewer like their candidate that condone this.

      yourself, you moron!

No you didn't offend me. I'm flattered that
      you offered my your advice.

In real life, if you would have extended out your
tin cup, I would have been happy to have given you
      two cents for your thoughts.

That would have been a 100% tip.

cGt2099 was not givimg you an advice...
He was telling you that "OBAMA WILL PWN YOU IN DA FACE"

If you want an advice, here is one:
"STOP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING RIGHT NOW!
If not, not only that'll make you blind, but that'll also
deteriorate your brain even more than it is already..."

Now, that advice is worth your weight in gold, methinks ;-p

    13. @DerivativeRe No, I don't condone the break in. I never said that. But the news that it was broken into lead me to read stuff that was published way before the break in ever took place, articles that criticised her e-mail archive/etc. policy and her use of personal e-mail accounts for gov business. They already knew she was doing that, and it was already a subject of interest. All I was saying was wow, I didn't know that she was being investigated for this. Which I didn't. And she was beinginvestigated before the illegal break in. The illegal break in which I don't condone.

Spare me your sanctimonious sound unlike your previous comments. There are a lot
of allegations and evidence about a lot of the candidates and a lot of them are fact.

Let the Rule of Law prevail to prosecute any wrongdoing. They should also investigate
Obama's violation of the Logan act by interfering with foreign policy on foreign soil.

Somebody else put it best from the web:

"Anyone who tries to debunk the fact that Palin isn’t under attack or defend the media’s behavior is delusional or just plain lying. The more the press tries to disgrace her, the more they affirm the suspicion that she is deeply threatening to anyone favoring Barack Obama. It’s vile, it’s out of hand, and it must stop."

    15. @DerivativeRe are you just looking for a fight? I wasn't even trying to be contraversial. Well, I don't really have any reason to engage you in a fight. Uhm, I clarified myself once already. I'm done here.

Your super powers of observation are astute.

I'm pretty good at tuning out background noise
and static. I'm having some good fun with you too.

Let it go bro--should I up your ante to 3 cents? :-)

For the record, I'm a huge believer in privacy, not in
breaking the law. I hold ALL politicians accountable.

I just don't like when anybody's privacy is violated. I know that
you know about the hacking into Scientology and so for, and
it's funny until it happens to one of us, or somebody that we
      care about.

      O.k., that's my two cents worth. :-)

  6. I'm pretty moderate and don't consider myself either a Republican or a Democrat, but I do know that if this had been Obama or Biden's email account, the super libs and their faithful media would be having a conniption fit about privacy, what sort of punishment the hackers should receive and whatever else they could piss and moan about. But this plays into their favor, so instead, it's HILARIOUS.

I find it very unfunny. It's desperate and classless and I think it makes the Democrats look very, very bad.

Derivative, you on the other hand, don't do a very good job at making the conservatives look very good either.

    1. @ todallyradtadpole

I'm not a freakin conservative. The record is here for all to
      view.

Everybody has been laughing at this severe and illegal invasion
      of privacy.

I felt compelled to break up their celebration, dude.

    2. @DerivativeRe

I apologize for assuming. I guess what I'm trying to say is your arguments would be a lot more appealing to read if they didn't seem so antagonistic. We're all entitled to our opinions, but when it comes across as if we are shouting them, no one is going to listen.

But I agree with your point. This piece of news isn't funny, yet it has somehow been spun that way.

    3. @toadallyradtadpole

      Thanks.

There's a certain type of crowd at Social Media
sites, that I was reacting to here, that run in herds like sheep.

      I wasn't even trying to argue--which I should have--but I just got
      angry at the freakin hypocrisy.

I am no ideologue, but common sense is out the window. To be sure.

      • (0 Kudos received)
    4. @DerivativeRe

Hey, I empathize with you on this one but I think this is just the wrong Social Media crowd to do it. Besides, Greg who was obviously joking and the rest having a light laugh, no one really was celebrating under the comments that's why the antagonism was out of place but it's true, you only have to check out Reddit for many who jumped the gun and are celebrating. This just isn't the right social media crowd for such a reaction though I wouldn't be surprised what goes on behind some Communities.

Apparently the so-called hacking was not what you thought it was:

  7. This isn't rocket science. It was wrong of Palin to use a Yahoo account to conduct political work under the radar of her official capacity. It was wrong of the hackers to crack her email and pass around the contents. Anyone who thinks Obama condoned this should lay of the Kool Aid long enough to get their brains working again. Anyone who remembers history knows that it is a classic Karl Rove move to put out "damaging" material about his candidate to make the other side look ruthless.

    • (5 Kudos received)
    1. @terryballard

What State work are you alleging Palin did under the "radar
      of her official capacity?"

Are those fancy words for saying that she received some junk mail or
some other non-important correspondence that was obtained
      illegally?

Hard facts always help in one's argument, btw. That way,
it helps to establish your own credibility.

      • (0 Kudos received)
    2. @terryballard Well put

      • (0 Kudos received)
    3. @terryballard

Well it is a bit disinegenuous to say "anyone who thinks Obama condoned this" when most of the accusations are how most Obama supporters condoned this. Of course this is just as bad a blanket statement but you can't deny that this typical rocket science also involves the typical "you're either with us or against us" political election sheep attitude that it goes beyond Karl Rove.
