  3. McCain suspending his campaign and wanting to postpone the debate. I guess this financial disaster must be so serious that there should be no national discussion, right? I suspect the campaign would save some cash and maybe the lunatic fringe 527 interest groups supporting McCain will start showing their delusional messages to take up the slack. Guns, genetic research, abortion, veterans saying Obama is unamerican, maybe wacko Pat Robertson will send us another message from God about missiles in Cuba.

Not being able to handle more than one issue at a time should finish off McCain's campaign by the end of the week. Maybe he has too many people on his staff speaking for the governor of Alaska defending Palin's actions as governor. At least the McCain bunch can contnrol Alaska. I wonder how Alaskans feel about deferring questions about state business to McCain spokesmen.

  4. Such a loser. Maybe they will suspend the whole election as they might lose? I mean there are plenty of reasons now: Economic crisis, Pakistan and also some terrorist attacks might happen any day, you never now...

  5. This is a perfect example of Mcaine fisrt, Country second. If he truly wanted this to be for America...He would have joined with Obamba and both of them jointly say they suspend their campain in a press conference. By going in front of TV and annoncing what he said and asking Mr. Obamba do the same thing, he created the danger that this bill may not pass. He is an opportunist not a maverick.

    1. @amsuzy60 Is Obama going to need McCain to hold his hand if he becomes the president as well? Thank you for correctly identifying the void in Obama's ability to lead.

  6. I think anyone who thinks that McCain's decision to put the current Wall Street/Banking crisis ahead of the debate is a political ploy is an IDIOT!. Both Senator McCain and Senator Obama are STILL on the public payroll as US senators for their representative states. And more importantly as the candidate from their individual parties, they should be lead representatives of those parties working on this fiasco. But most importantly for me, this would give me a chance to actually see Senator Obama do something and not simply talk about doing something. This man is great at telling the American public what he will do if elected...well, why doesn't he actually jump at the chance to show us his leadership skills at a time when our country is trying to ward off a crisis? I can tell you the answer. He didn't want to get involved because there would actually be some record of any of his suggestions or votes and we already know that Mr. "Present" doesn't like to go on the record as having an actual opinion on anything. It is much easier to change his stand on a topic during this campaign when all we have to try and decipher his position on an issue is a sound bite from a well read tele-prompter performance at one rally or another. He showed during the debates in the primary and again during the interview at the Saddleback Church that without his tele-prompter feeding him words, he isn't Mr. Johnny on the Spot. No, when having to think on his feet and make a decision or form an opinion on the spot, Senator Obama is a major failure. I not only support Senator McCain's decision to put the current economic issues first, I consider this proof that he means what his campaign signs say about putting "Country First". As for Senator Obama...he talks about "Change" Well, change would have been if he actually had decided to go to Washington, get involved in the debate and go on the record with an actual opinion. Now that would have been "Change".

    1. @RWBAmerican Well put. It is also disturbing that, even if Obama didn't feel that he had something useful to add in terms of input to the solution (which IS his current JOB as a senator), he should have at least been present without being prodded by his peers to try to gain a better understanding of the crisis and the technicals of the proposal. It seems very odd to me that a man that wants to be president of the US can't take the time to remove himself from the campaign podium for a couple of days to listen and learn about the complexities and solutions regarding the ongoing crisis; an economic system that he could potentially be adopting in January if he's elected. This is typical of a person who talks more than he listens, and believes that he is more intelligent than the rest of us. Apperently he plans on taking a financial crisis 101 crash course on January 20th if he's elected because stumping in a swing state obviously takes precidence over leading the country out of a dire financial crisis.

  7. McCain lacks the emotional maturity it takes to be the President of The United States. He is to emotional and impulsive. Case in Point.....

    1) Postpone the first Presidential debate
    2) Postpone the first VP debate
