Is this irony? Metallica to follow Radiohead and NIN?

New interview says that they've been "observing Radiohead and Trent Reznor," and that for its next album fans can expect "everything in terms of possibilities with the Internet."

  1. Pfft. What really happened is they saw the assload of money Trent made from Ghosts and they want a piece of it.

  2. they make plenty of money touring..i think they have seen the light...free exposure, and people are sharing unlimited quantities anyhow...

    its a no-brainer.

  3. After the lawsuits and hiring of detectives to hunt filesharers that downloaded Metallicas music on napster, it's all a bit of a joke.

  4. They started the whole witch hunt. As much as I appreciate the music they used to make, these guys don't deserve to make another penny from record sales.

  5. Metallica is a Micro^H^H^H^HRIAA puppet. Metallica albums should be avoided.

  6. @ih8mondays no, they should be shared.

  7. @charbarred you know that artists only get about 5 or 10 cents per CD sold, right?

they aren't the ones behind this, although they were fools to do what they did.

  8. @yoda You want to "help" these guys? They started the ball rolling on all this "file/music sharing is illegal" nonesense.

  9. @ih8mondays don't you know what "shared" refers to? shared is sometimes label "stolen"

i like them and always have, for their music and general political views, but Lars was an imbicile for that.

i'm just glad they are finally seeing the light.
