    1. @NewsJunkie Yes, but to my knowledge, there have been no murders or riots, so it could be worse.

    2. @McCaffertyHimself Indeed, but this should have been the beginning of the end. All people, all races, all beliefs coming together to save the economy, to save our children's future, to save health care, to end the war, and to better the world. What happened to that?

    3. @NewsJunkie I would love for all of that to happen, but that may be slightly too optimistic. It was only 53 years ago that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white person on a bus. That is when the civil rights movement officially began, and we have come a long way since then. Some folks will never change their opinions on race, but their children are generally more tolerant. As an older more racist generation dies out, more and more of the remaining generations will be more accepting. These type of changes take a long time to weave through the fabric of society. Try to be more patient.

  2. For the most part, I would say concerned citizens are not angry about Obama's ethnicity. No, they are concerned about who Obama really is... http://www.squidoo.com/obamavideoshowcase

    2. @JanaM I am a left-liberal. The concern I have, having worked on the Hill myself, is that Obama may be slightly too centrist.
