  2. Many years ago, shortly after I first moved to San Francisco, I heard a story from a friend about an Oakland city worker who was in trouble for driving a city pickup truck into a light pole. He got out of it by claiming that he was distracted by an "attractive nuisance." Right the first time. The nuisance was hookers and San Pablo Avenue was the place. I'm just guessing, but he and I probably have different definitions of "attractive."
