    1. @McCaffertyHimself They have no choice but to have a heart, or have a lot of empty houses with no one taking care of, or even potentially able to pay "something"

  2. One wonders, to begin with, where were Fannie and Freddie were when these 16,000 homeowners were falling three months behind?

  3. This is great. I am sure that many homeowners will be happy, at least for two more months. A company can have a heart. Not it just needs some courage and definitely a brain.

  4. Just temporary? And in 2009 you get evicted? For the mess they created? People, fight for your rights.

    1. @onreact.com These people need to take some personal responsibility. All Fannie and ZFreddy did was make the drugs available, the drug users made a choice to use the drug of low and variable interest rates to buy houses they could not afford to begin with.

Why do you immediately assume the worst in your fellow Americans? It's almost like you're saying that we, John Q. Public, somehow caused this massive financial crisis.

    3. @Wordherd He hates Obama, he hates the middle class, he hates poor people, he hates most of America. I'm living in Germany and I like America much more than him.
How much do you have to hate people to wish them being evicted?

    4. @piattorneys I am in the banking and mortgage industry and I can tell you that most of these people understand little if anything about financing. I have run across doctors, lawyers and financial planners who were talked into toxic mortgages by unscrupulous loan officers. These are professional people who should have known better and should have understood what they were getting themselves into, but they didn't.

Some of them actually still insist they are on fixed rate mortgages when their rate actually adjusts every month. Most of these people did not pay attention in math class when they were in school, and now they are paying for that ignorance.

Most of these people did buy a house they could not afford, but they did not understand that in the first place. They were told by the builder, by their Realtor and by their loan officer that this mortgage was good for them. The home buyer made the mistake of believing all of those folks who were supposed to be protecting the buyer.

Having said all of that, I agree with you because they should have found out what they were getting into before they signed on the dotted line. The buyer should always beware, so kudos to you. If more of these people had protected themselves, they would not be in this mess.
