One of the reasons search marketing is so effective is that it delivers information on products and services to people who are actively seeking them out.

  1. Really good list, thanks for sharing. They are all really important but #7 really stands out "Failing to periodically review keywords". This is so important because by doing this it allows you to be on top of the rest of the mistakes.

  2. I like #4 - intent. That gets overlooked a lot.

  3. Interesting read but some points are false. Like "4. Selecting single word keywords". There are plenty of not only long tail single word keywords to target without much competition.
