  2. I find it hard to believe that the Firefox people were not regularly scanning their add-ons. That is really poor planning on Firefox's part. "Gee, let's scan this just once and not bother with it when other viruses are discovered at a later date."

    Very poor management by Firefox. Sleeper viruses are a common tactic used by malware creators. Even I know this and I am not a techie.
