  1. Sad as it is, it is still on par with most telecommunications companies...but this might be a good way to get out of a contract...My mobile platform is my iPhone which does all I need it to.

  2. Yup, it's called material adverse conditions (i.e. they go up on the price, of services, etc). You can get out of the contract without an EFT.

  3. It is unlimited... up to the cap :p

  4. @sheseltine The it isn't unlimited, unlimited means no limit a cap means there is a limit. That would be false and misleading advertising and marketing which the FTC loves to go after. If it has a 5GB cap then it better be marketed as a 5GB plan and not unlimited.

  5. @allen_mvp I was being sarcastic, hence the smiley at the end. Companies always try and pull this stuff on loyal customers, with the common mantra these days being "never let the truth get in the way of a good story".

I believe it was Scope that I read a story about the other night. In order to increase sales they simply increased the size of their cap. Their loyal users continued to do as before, and fill up to the line, which meant that they depleted a bottle quicker and thus needed to purchase more frequently.

Phone companies are in a class of their own though, you need one, and there aren't that many to choose from.

  6. @sheseltine Doh, sorry. It's sad to see companies screwing over customers, What is needed is more consumer education and awareness, then such practices would stop across the board.

Didn't know that about Scope. I don't use Scope because it contains alcohol, and the stuff I do use I don't use the cap (just take it straight from the bottle (LOL).
