  1. This is a really ugly idea that will open a Pandora's box for society. Mark my word: if we allow this, we'll slowly find "reasons" to add other people to those we track, and more powerful tracking devices. We are not cattle, and any reason you can give for doing this, I can come up with an alternative that isn't intrusive.

  2. @blogspinner I can't say I really disagree with you, it is kinda spooky but it also has benefits. As it takes away freedoms in these people's lives it's also giving them freedom. It's weird, it's really a Catch 22.

Oh common, some people even grunt like cattle. :D

    Proof we're cattle?

I'm totally kidding about the cattle thing though... just think it's funny. :P

I agree w both of you that it's a slippery slope. On a more limited
basis I can see how it could be beneficial for elderly people. For instance,
my elderly mom went for a walk recently and she couldn't make it back to
her house. So something like this would be useful in case of an emergency.

  5. Sir, this is monitoring station #54-G. It appears that you have fallen and can not get up. Would you like me to send for assistance?
