Goldfish Keyring with Live Goldfish view story

In waterfront Qingdao, vendors were selling heart shaped plastic keychains sealed with a live goldfish inside. Since the keychains are completely sealed there is very little air and no way to feed the fish inside.

  1. Now this is something for PETA to get all up in arms about. Maybe if we could convince them to let horse racing alone and ACTUALLY focus on unethical treatment of animals elsewhere!!!

    well, actually air will get through the plastic. it is standard to buy fish and reptiles at the pet store and get them in plastic bags, and they will live a long time.

    i think the idea here is to just take it home and put it in a bowl, but then who knows?

    @angels1013 if PETA wasn't completely hipocritical they'd be doing something about the chicken, beef, and pig farming in the US and elsewhere instead of focusing on race horse and such non-sense. i mean, come on. do they care about animals, or just about how people feel about certain "cute, cuddly, pet-like" animals that involve HEAVY EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENTS and allow them to get MONEY?

    it's sad.
