Yahoo is a leader in multimedia and social stuff - delicious, flickr, mybloglog etc. Something tells me they'll eventually get smart and push those forward rather than try to save loss-making segments of their company. And that'll be a smart move, more so than the "pump every penny of profit from Windows to online search" strategy by MS.
