  1. Too bad they won't focus on making Yahoo! a better search engine, they've been lagging for a good long while. Yahoo seems more interested in selling ads on it's frequently outdated search index and giving good relevant search results.

  2. Although I have sympathy for the employees any time there is a layoff - Yahoo has been floundering in second place to Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Apple. They have lost focus and are just stumbling around in the dark while those other four companies are innovating and taking the buzz. It's a management and vision problem.
