  1. This has absolutely been my experience with my Network World blog. I still see outside linking as a valuable service to my readers. And, I believe that being linked to from other blogs helps build the brand long-term. But traffic? Not so much.

  2. An interesting article. This matches observations I've heard from other people about traffic. Perhaps the days of one blog driving huge amounts of traffic are over.

  3. With all those blogs these days its hard to get huge traffic on one blog. There are to many representations of the same information and so all the traffic is distributed trough out all those sources of that information

  5. What this article doesn't allow for is the indirect traffic that blog linking drives. It is those blog links that build page rank and increase the traffic you get from Google search. Often it is also those initial links that spark the social media traffic.
